To install a Sun Tunnel Skylight, follow these sequential steps:
1. Placement Assessment: The installer determines the optimal location for the SUN TUNNEL® by inspecting the attic and marking where the tunnel will be placed.

2. Ceiling and Roof Cuts: Holes are cut in both the ceiling and the roof to accommodate the installation of the tube.
​
3. Frame and Flashing Installation: Following the manufacturer's guidelines, the frame is installed on the ceiling while the tunnel flashing is set on the roof.
​
4. Sealing and Finishing: The flashing is sealed to the roof using high-grade ice and water membrane, and new shingles are applied around it.
​
5. Tube Installation: The tube is installed from the roof to the ceiling, ensuring a tight seal in the attic space.
​
6. Insulation Application: Spray foam insulation is applied at the base of the tunnel from inside the attic to prevent condensation and air leaks.
​​
7. Lens and Ring Installation: The finished lens and ring are installed onto the ceiling or interior frame. A thorough cleanup of debris and waste is conducted.
